A Covid Collaboration in Saskatchewan
Quarantine projects.
Never expected to use that phrase. Didn’t even think those words went together! But alas, here we are. I had a few quarantine “projects” myself, and they ranged from just surviving and binging Netflix, to completing the years’ old To-Do List, to some home improvements. Our 1980s house has a vaulted ceiling that was finished with panels of knotty pine, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to paint it white. We were able to borrow a few tiers of scaffolding, and a few weeks later, it felt like a brand new home! I would be remiss to say, opportunities arose to pursue some fun passion projects in this time of less client work. Cue this styled shoot. Allison of Allison Bertoia Photography reached out to me about sending her samples of this semi custom suite plus a couple extra pieces for a styled shoot she was working on. It was the perfect way to connect (from a distance) with other vendors in Saskatchewan. Thanks, Allison!
VIEW THE WHOLE GALLERY AT SASK EVER AFTER!“The goal of this session was to highlight some of the talented vendors in west-central Saskatchewan. The theme was natural, soft, and boho. We wanted to show that while travel might not be in the cards right now, there are so many unique landscapes right here in Saskatchewan! The “desert-like” landscape is actually a gravel pit on some family property. We also wanted to give some inspiration to couples who might have had to change plans and move towards an elopement.
This team of vendors came together because they are amazing local talents. Because of COVID-19 restrictions, the team never got to meet or be together on set. We had to be a little creative in managing the planning, but it was definitely worth it. I’m so happy to see that creatives can still collaborate during this crazy time we’re in.”
